Introduction Of Commonly Used Knitted Fabrics

  Jersey

A single jersey knit fabric is composed of continuous loops. Its texture is light and thin, with good extensibility, elasticity, and air permeability, which can better absorb sweat and make it cool and comfortable to wear. It mainly designs undershirts for summer wear, including round neck shirts, lapel shirts, vests, and other styles. It has the characteristics of lightness, softness, drape, and sweat absorption. Can make: T-shirts, underwear, T-shirts, children's clothing, home clothing, etc.

  Pearl mesh

In a broad sense, it means a concave-convex style fabric with knitted loops. The interlaced configuration of coils and tuck hanging arcs is used to form a mesh, also known as bead fabric.

In a narrow sense, it means a 4-way one-cycle concave-convex fabric woven by a single-sided circular machine. Because the back of the fabric has a square shape, it is called a square mesh, and there is also a common double pique mesh. Because the back of the fabric has a hexagonal shape, it is called hexagonal mesh.

Because the concave-convex structure on the back is similar to a football, it is also called football mesh. This fabric generally uses the reverse side as the front of the garment.

  ribbed

A ribbed knitted fabric is a knitted fabric in which a yarn is sequentially formed into a wale on the front and back. The common ones are 1+1 rib, 2+2 rib, and spandex rib. Rib knitted fabric has the looseness, hemming, and extensibility of plain weave fabric, and also has greater elasticity.

The excellent elasticity of ribbed cloth can be used to make collars, cuffs, and hems of shirts and trousers, as well as for sewing undershirts, vests, sportswear, and stretch shirts.

Double-rib fabric is also called "cotton wool cloth". Because the front and back are almost the same, it is also called "double-sided cloth". Cotton wool cloth is widely used and has a variety of varieties, which fits the body and keeps it warm. It has greater elasticity and extensibility and can be used as elastic vests, collars, cuffs, trousers, and hems in clothing.

  Terry fabric

French terry is a variety of knitted fabric. When weaving, some yarns appear as loops on the rest of the fabric according to a certain proportion and stay on the surface of the fabric, that is, terry cloth.

Terry cloth is usually thicker, and the terry part can hold more air, so it is warm and is mostly used for autumn and winter clothing. The loop part has been brushed and can be processed into fleece, which has a lighter and softer feel and better thermal performance.

  Ponte Roma

Ponte Roma is a kind of knitted fabric, weft-knitted, made of a double-sided circular machine, commonly known as chicken cloth. Ponte Roma is a four-way and one-cycle, the cloth surface is not as smooth as ordinary double-sided cloth, and there are slightly slight and irregular horizontal stripes. The horizontal and vertical elasticity of the fabric is better, but the horizontal stretch performance is not as good as that of the double-sided fabric.

Generally used as trousers, sports and leisure jackets, etc., breathable, soft, refreshing, tight, and comfortable to wear.

  faux fur fabric

Artificial fur and artificial fur knitted fabrics often use cotton yarn, viscose yarn, or polypropylene yarn as the base fabric yarn, and use acrylic fiber or modified acrylic fiber to sit on the pile. When weaving, the fiber bundle and the ground yarn are looped together, and the fiber ends are exposed on the fabric. After weaving, apply an adhesive on the reverse side of the fabric to set the shape of the fabric to avoid shedding, and then undergo a series of finishing processes such as carding, printing, and shearing to obtain artificial fur with various appearance effects.

This fabric feels thick, and soft, and provides great warmth. According to different varieties, it is mainly used as coat fabric, clothing lining, collar, hat, etc. Artificial fur is also woven by warp knitting.
